Straying from the traditional southern wedding, Martina Liana bride, Logan wanted her wedding day to husband Mack to have a much more modern feel. The black and white color palette she selected looked stunning against her blush Stevie skirt and sparkling Ciara corset. We can’t get enough of this modern and romantic wedding day!
From the bride: There isn’t a great proposal story other than the fact that we were together for five years and were madly in love with each other. He took me to the Biltmore house and proposed in front of it, a few days before Christmas (but that wasn’t my Christmas present, ha!)
I live in Charleston, South Carolina and ALL weddings here are burlap and lace “southern” weddings, but I simply wanted something different. Modern and Romantic was the “look” I went for. My colors were black and white with some gold and champagne/blush accents from my amazing dress. It was the first dress I tried on and I immediately knew it was the one. I chose the location because it’s the most beautiful plantation in Charleston, but the Inn has a VERY modern feel to it.
I didn’t have any DIY projects, so I don’t have any tips and in fact, don’t recommend DIY projects to brides. Pay a little extra, it’s worth less stress!! I wanted everything to be perfect in the beginning until I had a heart to heart with myself and God and realized my perfect day is getting to marry my amazing husband, nothing else matters.
There are so many special memories from my incredible day that it’s hard to choose one. I would have to say that standing in front of my husband, with my father in law whom is a baptist pastor leading us, committing ourselves to each other, but first and foremost to God, was the most special memory from the day.
