The Dress
I knew going in, from others’ stories, what I thought I wanted I would probably not end up going with so I really went in with a completely open mind. My mom, sister, & (now) mother-in-law were the only ones with me that day. We went to Ashley Renee Bridal in Livingston, LA & all grabbed different dresses we liked. I think we ended up with about 15 dresses total to try on. That was quickly narrowed down to two very different Stella York dresses. Putting them on back-to-back, there was no doubt #6574 was THE ONE! I said YES .. AGAIN!
The Wedding Details
My wedding was at The White Magnolia in Kentwood, LA, a very vintage-elegant venue. The theme I went with for my wedding was “simple elegance.” My colors were simple, white flowers with the greenery from Glenda’s Florals in Kentwood, & rental flowers from Something Borrowed Blooms, “stardust” colored neutral tone bridesmaid dresses from Sorella Vita – soft luxe collection, and navy suits for the guys. Gold was brought in occasionally for a POP of color.
The most special moment from our day is having our first look before the wedding ceremony. It was so nice to have that intimate moment for just us to take in everything from the day so far, and upcoming that evening!! *not to mention getting some of those anxious jitters out!*
