A semester abroad in France brought Martina Liana bride, Sarah, and her husband together. Only fitting, just over five years later they returned to the French countryside to say their, ‘I do’s.’ From the sweet, vineyard surroundings to Sarah’s stunning lace wedding dress, everything about the day was magnifique!
From the bride: Sebastien and I met in Strasbourg, France when I was studying abroad my junior year of college. Who would have thought 5.5 years later we’d be getting married and finally living in the same country (with our pup Napoleon)!
Our wedding was in his hometown, a small French village surrounded by vineyards and beautiful mountains. The day was perfect – from the vintage French car that drove us to the reception, to the multi-course meal (complete with cheese, of course). My dress was incredible – I felt stunning in it. Thankfully we are having an at-home US reception in two weeks so I have another chance to wear it! 🙂
Putting my dress on surrounded by my bridesmaids and mom was such a special moment. Only topped by walking down the aisle at church to my future husband – seeing the look on his face! When I finally reached him, he said “tu es magnifique” in French 🙂 He couldn’t believe the dress.
