After 25 years of love and happiness, Real Bride Clara and her husband, Rodrigo, renewed their vows in the same historic church where they first tied the knot. Filled with meaningful details and special callbacks to their original wedding day, Clara and Rodrigo’s vow renewal was a celebration of their love, family and years of memories.
When it came to her dress, Clara knew she wanted something that hugged her figure and made her feel beautiful. With lace appliques and a custom veil, Martina Liana Style 1821 gave her the look she envisioned. For the reception, she changed into Essense of Australia Style D1482, a figure-hugging design with pearl detailing that made her feel confident and beautiful.
CLARA, TELL US ABOUT YOUR PARTNER. HOW DID YOU MEET?
Rodrigo and I have been married for 25 years and have been together even longer than that.

DESCRIBE YOUR BRIDAL STYLE.
For our 25th wedding anniversary, I wanted a different look than I had for our wedding in 2000. I wanted to look feminine and have a dress that hugged me nicely without feeling constricted, but most of all, I wanted to feel beautiful.
For the Catholic vow renewal ceremony and the reception, I chose different dresses. They were both perfect and unique in their own way. For the ceremony, I chose the lace-appliquéd Martina Liana Style 1821 gown paired with a custom veil and headpiece. For the reception, I changed into Essense of Australia Style D4182, which hugged my body and featured pearl detailing all over

HOW DID YOU FEEL IN YOUR GOWN ON YOUR BIG DAY?
I felt so pretty in each of my gowns. My family and guests gave me so many flattering compliments when they saw me in them.
TELL US MORE ABOUT YOUR VOW RENEWAL.
We decided to renew our vows in the same place where we were married, San Gabriel, Mexico. It’s a quaint little town that wraps visitors with warmth. The church where we married, Templo del Señor de la Misericordia de Amula, was founded over 450 years ago.
We enjoyed our day so much and were so happy to be surrounded by so many friends and family, some that traveled all the way to Mexico from the states to be with us.

WHAT WAS THE MOST SPECIAL MEMORY FROM YOUR VOW RENEWAL?
The most special memory from my vow renewal was returning to the same church where we got married 25 years ago, which also happens to be the church where my ancestors said, “I do.” Even the same priest who married us gave us his blessing once again.
DID YOU HAVE ANY SPECIAL, CULTURAL OR FAMILY TRADITIONS THAT YOU INCORPORATED?
I wore the same diamond earrings and necklace from our original wedding day, as they were a gift from my husband. My rose and orchid bouquet was adorned with little medals in honor of my late father and sweet little dog Coco.
A Mariachi band serenaded us at home while we got ready. In the church, they sang and played a wonderful rendition of Ave María. They continued to delight us during cocktail hour and dinner.
For dinner we served the traditional dish of San Gabriel birria. We also had the traditional pan de natas wedding cake and café de olla.
