Bride and groom kissing in the street

Real Essense of Australia Bride Dominique + Garrett

In the rolling hills of Italy, Dominique and Garrett began their journey to forever amidst the charm of a city steeped in culture and history. Their wedding day was nothing short of a fairytale, intertwining radiant romance with heartfelt memories they will cherish for a lifetime.

While their wedding was artfully curated with personal touches and meaningful traditions, Dominique’s authentic bridal style took center stage. Her stunning Essense of Australia wedding gown, Style D3407, embodied Dominique’s desire for a natural yet elegant bridal look. The eye-catching bodice shimmered with layers of floral appliques as the chic fit-and-flare silhouette gracefully hugged her curves with every step down the aisle.

From hosting a rehearsal dinner at the bride’s parents’ house to sealing notes for future anniversaries during the ceremony, each intentional detail was captured by Luxia Photography and reflected the couple’s one-of-a-kind love story. Keep reading to be swept off your feet as we reminisce over every breathtaking moment of their big day.

DOMINIQUE, TELL US ABOUT YOUR LOVE STORY!

Garrett and I initially met on Hinge, the dating app. He stood me up on our first date by accident, but he begged for a second chance and now we have been together for five years! He proposed on New Year’s Eve with all my family around. He cried his eyes out; it was precious!

DESCRIBE YOUR BRIDAL STYLE. HOW DID YOU WANT TO LOOK ON YOUR WEDDING DAY? TELL US ABOUT YOUR DRESS-SHOPPING EXPERIENCE.

My wedding dress was the first one I tried. I knew I wanted to look natural but bridal, and I wanted a dress that was equally stunning but also something I could wear all night. The town we got married in is hilly, so I also wanted it to be light and needed to easily move around in it. When I first tried on my gown, I knew it was the one. I felt absolutely beautiful at our wedding and so comfortable and fun in the wedding dress!

TELL US ABOUT YOUR WEDDING. HOW DID YOU MAKE YOUR WEDDING PERSONAL TO YOUR LOVE STORY?

We got married in Monforte d’Alba, which is a small town in Italy where my parents live. We held the rehearsal the night before at their house. Friends also hosted us at their winery for a wine tasting, as we were in a premier food and wine region. We asked all our guests to write us notes for our 10- and 20-year anniversary that we sealed during the ceremony with bottles of wines to age.
