Winter Skin Care Musts

Cold harsh wintery conditions wreak havoc on your skin. Constant heating and wind blast your skin making it dry, cracked and irritated. Dull winter skin is NOT cute. Winter air is not only cold it’s dry. Taking care of your skin in winter is imperative to your skins fitness for your upcoming wedding. Skin fitness is an everyday routine not just a quick fix! If you want a sublimely glowing, luminous complexion walking down the aisle, take on board these hydration saving solutions to keeping your skin moisturised, plump, soft and ultra-smooth. Extra moisturising on the outside is of course essential, however I’m all about a triple pronged effect with all my beauty tips if possible, so integrating some of the best internally beneficial products will have you glowing this wedding season.

1. Drink More Water
Water is a very essential component of your skin. Up to 70% of our body mass is made up of water. Your cells, skin and tissues are of course also made up from water. Drinking more water will help your cells become plumper, skin less dry and will stave off dehydration which slows down or stops supporting vital functions in the body. Being so cold try drinking caffeine free skin teas. Try Jasmine, Green, Rooibos, Ginger and Peppermint.

2. Cold-Pressed Organic Coconut Oil
One of the best skin nourishing products around. You can cook with this; you can use it as a hair mask, a skin moisturiser, cuticle oil and a weight loss product and appetite suppressant. It does it all. So add this to your day for supple and soft skin. Best add to your beauty arsenal for under $5. Dryness begone!

3. Shower Oil or Shower Cleanser
I love these instead of soap based products. The difference between them is astounding. By using shower oil you stop stripping your skin of valuable moisture and help replenish and hydrate your skin again. Ultra-soft, supple skin is yours straight from the shower. Try L’Occitane Cleansing and Softening Shower Oil $25.

4. Buy a Humidifier
I am a self-confessed humidifier junkie. Yes I have 5! THEY ARE AWESOME! Not only do they help with relieving stress by adding aromatherapy oils like lavender or helping with clearing your sinuses when they are blocked, they also are incredible for keeping your skin hydrated. I am a huge fan (trust me on this) of the Quooz Rockano diffuser and humidifier $54.95 as it keeps the air moist for great skin.

5. Moisturize from the Inside
Boost your nutrition with essential oils. By adding fish oil, coconut oils, krill oil, flax seed oils to your diet you will see significant benefits not only with your health but your skin will love you for it. Oils help make your cells viscous which means they can hold more nutrients and water, hence hydrating your cells means more energy and moisture retained in your skin.
