It’s not every day one of our brides gets married in the wild plains of Africa – so of course we had to share real Stella York bride Amy’s South African wedding! Surrounded by their closest friends and family, under a spectacular cotton candy ski, Amy and Clayton said “I Do” at the Karongwe Game Reserve Limpopo in South Africa. Her stunning strapless fit-and-flare wedding dress from designer Stella York gave her ceremony a touch of classic romance. In something straight out of a movie, as the couple read their vows, a leopard looked on! Seriously!
From the Bride: We both live in England but love the South African bush (seeing as my husband is South African too) and we couldn’t see ourselves getting married anywhere else. We spent hours finding the perfect location and it was truly amazing. From getting married in the bush surrounded by wildlife (and being quickly removed from a dry riverbed as we were being watched by a leopard!) to the evening ending by looking up and seeing the Milky Way it was truly spectacular.
My favourite memory from our wedding was sharing my day with a ton of friends and having the best wedding weekend I could have imagined. As well as giving the chance to all my English family and friends to experience the South African wildlife, which I love so much.
