Real Stella York Bride Amanda + Brett

Real Stella York bride Amanda’s tropical wedding to groom Brett was the filled with island touches that made their wedding day unique. From her amazing local flowers, to the sunset ceremony, we can’t help but want a piña colada after reading about all the sweet details of the day. Amanda’s beach-inspired wedding dress with low back and slide slit, complemented her casual and cool boho style.

From the bride: Brett and I had decided on a destination wedding long before we had even gotten engaged. Our first trip together was to Huatulco seven years earlier. We returned to the same destination nearly every year since, even getting engaged on one of those return trips in 2016. Huatulco was home to so many memories that it made perfect sense to get married there, as well.

We were married at Las Palmas resort. The traditional architecture and cliff-top view were the perfect backdrop for the wedding. To make the day happen, we hired local vendors and couldn’t have been happier. Each one of them went above and beyond to make our wedding beautiful and stress-free. From the flowers and food to photos, they truly took our ‘pinspiration’ to another level.

The part of the day that stands out the most for me, is stepping out to walk down the aisle with my dad. Earlier that day my sister gave us both the best advice. “When you get out there, just stop for a moment and take it all in.” When I heard the processional music queue, my nerves started to get the best of me. My dad grabbed my hand and led me out to the ceremony where we stopped and looked at all of the faces around us smiling back at us. It gave my dad and I both a chance to breathe (suck back the tears) and just take in all of the love around us. I caught the eye of my soon to be husband and just felt relaxed and overjoyed.
