Real Martina Liana Bride Peyton + Matt

Southern bride Peyton loves classic-styled weddings, but she wanted her big day to stand out and reflect more of her personal style. The result? A dreamy mix of classic and boho complete with palm leaves, pampas grass, diamond chandeliers, and black and white table cloths. Martina Liana Style 1165, a stunning crepe dress with floral and bead detailing, was the perfect gown for the occasion. Peyton chose to have the sheer bodice lined and accessorized with a long matching veil. Read on for more details from Peyton and husband Matt’s magical nuptials.

Tell us about your proposal…

Matt told me his parents had a gift card to a steak restaurant that was about to expire so we were going to eat with them. Of course, I did not turn down a steak dinner and was happy to go. The restaurant is in a historic area called the Canton Square nearby where we live. There is a beautiful courthouse in the middle of the square. We were going to be early, so Matt suggested we “walk on the square” before dinner. We got out of the car and were walking up to the courthouse, and I saw the photographer come out from behind a fence. At that point, I turned around and saw Matt on one knee. It was so surreal and sweet. Afterwards, there was no steak dinner, but we were surprised with all of our friends from out of town at Matt’s parents house. The second best night ever!

How did you know that Martina Liana Style 1165 was the one?

I sent the bridal shop 30 photos and all of them were totally different styles of dresses. One thing I was sure of was that I wanted a long veil. It felt like I tried on almost every dress in the store, and I truly loved all of them. The bridal stylists were SO helpful and listened to every word I said. They listened to the specific things I said about each dress and were able to find a dress that incorporated all of those, which is the dress I picked! I really liked the solid white look of the dresses I had tried on, and this one was originally sheer on both hips and the chest area. After they told me I could make that solid, I was completely SOLD! They paired it with a matching veil, and my entire group shed tears. Sweet moments I’ll never forget!

How did you make your wedding personal to your style and love story?

I love classic style weddings (white roses, greenery, etc). Being from the South, most girls have a classic style wedding, and everyone uses the same style. Although I love it, I knew I wanted to do something a little different. Getting married in January, I was nervous as for what I’d be able to get away with, but it turned out PERFECTLY. I wanted to do classic with a mix of boho. We had palm leaves & pampas paired with classic diamond chandeliers and black/white table cloths. My favorite part was using flowers from my mom’s bouquet in my own. She used fake flowers so she was able to save them for me. They turned out wonderfully! I was surrounded by big palm leaves while walking down the aisle, and I have never felt a more magical moment in my life.

What was the most memorable part of your wedding?

There were so many memories I will never forget about our wedding day. I am not the best at keeping secrets, but I kept my dress a secret from all of my bridesmaids until I did a first look with them. I did not tell them the style, patterns, or anything, and I was so excited and nervous for them to see it. As soon as they turned around and saw me, they gave the sweetest reactions. This is the first time I cried (happy tears, of course) on my big day. It felt so surreal to be surrounded by all of my best friends in the dress I had dreamed of my entire life. It was the perfect beginning to the best day of my life!
