For her Charlotte wedding, real Essense of Australia bride Jessica mixed organic touches with her own personal style and we have to say, we’re a little obsessed! From a joyous first look to the dreamy sunset photo session, her wedding was one for the books. Plus, her low back, lace wedding dress pairs perfectly with her boho-vintage style. So, without further ado, here is Jessica and Trent’s wedding, enjoy!
From the bride: We had a semi-destination wedding; I’m from New England and my husband is from the Midwest, but we chose to get married in Charlotte, North Carolina where we had lived and dated for three years. So many of our loved ones made the trip down, and it meant so much to us! Because we are from different regions of the country, our families and friends don’t get to meet and mingle all that much – so seeing everyone under one beautiful barn roof was just the best! As far as DIY and planning a wedding remotely, I became a big fan of inspiration boards and collages of the things I was picking! It get’s so difficult to picture everything together, especially when you can’t see it in person, so I would screenshot the items online or have people e-mail me photos of unique items, and make a collage so I could see the items side by side.
It is so hard to choose, but I would say my favorite part of the day was just before the ceremony. Trent and I did a first look, and it was just the most beautiful sunny day in the south and we had some time with just the two of us. Then, we goofed around and took pictures with our bridal party and saw our families. It was an intimate time with just our closest friends and family – and I’d have to say that hour was my favorite!
