What wedding dress trends are hot right now in your area?
Most of our brides want something that truly feels like them, but maybe just a more elegant version of themselves. They want a dress that is effortless, comfortable & unique. Whether that be a slim strapless a-line with one of the Essense jackets or a boho inspired v-neck sheath, we are kind of seeing that anything goes anytime anywhere.
What’s the number one thing your brides are asking for?
Straps and comfort! I guess these almost always go hand and hand. We are so glad Essense has nailed the lace v-neck sheath that looks so great all shapes.
How do you make the bride’s experience memorable?
Marah’s is bridal gown shopping just the way it should be! We like to describe our store as a darling boutique filled with whimsy and feminine charm. Myself & my employees provide customers with a unique shopping experience by offering an intimate and relaxed environment.

What’s the most surprising request you’ve ever gotten from a bride?
Just last week we had a bride who needed a gown for her wedding that was 18 days away! Guess what? She found a great Essense gown off the rack that she absolutely loved.
What’s your favorite wedding story from one of your brides?
We have several brides that all stem from the same family tree. There is always another cousin getting married, which we love because they are all awesome women and all want to buy their dress from our boutique! The most recent bride from this family is actually the first photo that pops up on our website, and better yet…she chose an Essense gown!
What is the best advice you would give a bride as she is shopping for her wedding gown?
Be present. Enjoy the moment. You are about to pick out the most important and special garment you will ever wear! Bring just a few people who know you and will respect what you truly want to wear. Forget about all the little details, but maybe just try and imagine you, your groom and your wedding day. Which gown can you picture slipping into that day and feeling absolutely beautiful in? Pick that gown. Go with your heart, allow yourself some happy tears & pop the bubbly! Lastly, cheers to you, the bride to be!
