Julie's Bridal Gallery

Store of the Week: Julie’s Bridal Gallery in Monroe, WI

Always knowing she wanted to own her own business, Julie’s Bridal Gallery owner, Julie, did not know which field to go into until it was time to plan her own wedding. From that moment, she fell in love with the bridal industry, and knew she needed to open a bridal shop. With the help of her mother, they were able to open Julie’s Bridal Gallery and for the past eight years, provide excellent service and selection to the brides of Monroe.

Julie's Bridal Gallery

We asked the staff of Julie’s Bridal Boutique all about their Monroe bridal shop and what’s currently trending in the Wisconsin bridal market:

What wedding dress trends are hot right now in your area?
In our area girls we are seeing a lot of lace gowns with detailed backs, and lightweight gowns that accent their shape.

What’s the number one thing your brides are asking for?
Our brides are looking for dresses with straps, or an illusion back!

How do you make the bride’s experience memorable?
Our brides are greeted immediately once they walk into our boutique. They are guided to their personal dressing room viewing area and our Bridal Stylist will then ask them all the necessary questions about their “dream dress.” We want to provide the best experience for our brides and their families. Once she says “Yes to the Dress” we celebrate with a toast and pictures.

What’s the most surprising request you’ve ever gotten from a bride?
We had a bride who wanted her dress to look like one of the Disney Princesses. She had a Disney Princess wedding theme, it was pretty neat hearing her talk about all the things she was doing for it.

What’s your favorite wedding story from one of your brides?
One of our beautiful brides wanted to surprise her husband by having Bucky Badger, the Wisconsin Badgers Mascot, attend the reception. During the reception, they had Bucky come out to the dance floor and surprise him, it was a great night. All the guests enjoyed dancing with the Wisconsin Badgers Mascot!

What is the best advice you would give a bride as she is shopping for her wedding gown?
Go in to your appointment with an open mind and don’t be afraid to try on all different types of styles. Limit your guests to less than 6, too many opinions can be very overwhelming so stick with your favorite gals that you trust. Try to picture yourself walking down the aisle in the dress you are in love with, and always go with what your heart feels!
