If you ask the new Mrs. Wienges to describe her wedding in one word, she’d reply “magical!” These two lovebirds met in high school but made it official post-college. Every piece of their love story was intertwined into their big day. Read on to swoon!

The Proposal
The Wienges go way back. “We started dating in college and after a few fallouts we found our way back together AFTER college,” Taylor said. “After about 10 years of knowing each other, we were together at last – like everyone in our friend group/family said would happen so many years ago! Trez and I went to Charleston one fall weekend and he had me convinced he wasn’t going to propose, so I was of course devastated because I just knew it was going to happen on that trip.” With time running out, Taylor lost all hope! “He completely got me though, he told me we were going to dinner on Sullivan’s Island with his family on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2018. When we got there, we were suppose to go grab apps and drinks at Home Team until our reservation, but the wait was too long. So he suggested we go for a walk on the beach… now I was 6 months pregnant at the time and I was not down with that! However, he convinced me so we went. When we got to the end of the boardwalk, the sun was setting and I turned around and he was on one knee, in tears!” Taylor described it as the “happiest moment of my life.”
The Dress
Taylor’s dress shopping experience was one that many bride’s experience; going in for one style and coming out with something completely different! “I went in thinking I wanted a super fitted dress, but I knew my wedding was going to be rustic and whimsical,” she said. “I decided to try on a wedding dress with tulle and as soon as I put it on, I was in tears! I just knew that this was MY dress! The funny thing is, it’s exactly what my husband predicted I would wear on our wedding day. I was shocked!”

The Big Day
“From getting ready with my daughter, my best friends and mine and my husband’s mother, to the first look with my dad. My best memory of the day was definitely reading Trez’s letter to me and then seeing him at the altar when we arrived at the ceremony. I was in tears immediately and overcome with emotions! But my favorite part of the entire day was being able to have our sweet 9-month-old daughter there during the entire thing and sharing the love with her.”
“Everything was so perfect, featuring blush and neutral tones and tons of greenery! The reception was held at the Cannery, a gorgeous barn venue with lots of string lights, greenery and some vintage elements throughout. We had vintage rugs on the dance floor and vintage couches and chairs throughout. None of these designs could have come to life without my amazing planner, Becca Zorn. (Becca Zorn Designs) My favorite part of the reception was the flower wall which was complete with a neon sign that read “The Wienges”.
