Every now and then a bride comes along and just leaves us speechless – and also very jealous we didn’t attend her wedding! Real Stella York bride Monica could not have been a better boho bride! From her seriously killer flower crown and DIY elements, to her wedding dress with lace sleeves and amazing vineyard venue, Monica’s wedding was truly unique and special. We’re suckers for a bride who really remains true to her personal style and no one does it better than our girl Monica. Dark reds, pretty pinks and lovely green succulents lent themselves to the color palette (and were the perfect complement to her long sleeve wedding dress!) while the natural surrounding of the vineyard, just steps aways from the bride’s parents’ home, created an intimate and deeply meaningful wedding. From the bride: Our wedding was a true DIY event. My gem of a mom and her artistic abilities truly made our DIY elements stand out. She handmade over 250 ceramic pinch pots that were later filled with my private stash of succulents and given to our guests. We also tie-dyed over 200 napkins, which added pops of flair. The cake was my great aunt Carol’s recipe for her southern pound cake. The flower arrangements had an assortment of feathers from our peacocks onsite. The succulents in my bouquet and David’s boutonniere were planted after the wedding as a keepsake. Our glasses were cut wine bottles with hand etched logos. We also served the family reserve (Red Fern Blend) wine with custom labels #davidamonicaletspolka oh yeah and pizza!! I mean come on five different varieties of gourmet stone oven pizza. It was everything.
My favorite memory from the day was just the joy that my husband and I felt for each other and our friends and family in attendance. It sounds corny but David and I were both ecstatic. We were so happy to celebrate our love with each other and amongst our closest friends and family. The day was to celebrate our union, which took place in literally my parents backyard.
A truly boho, DIY-inspired wedding day, we love how Monica and David celebrated their marriage in the backyard of Monica’s mother’s yard. White-washed tables and natural, wooden chairs kept the theme minimalistic, and the plethora of greens surrounding the seating area was the perfect accent to table florals.
Monica was a true bridal vision in her Stella York long sleeved wedding gown, taking our breath away every time we see a photo of her! From the low, illusion back to the gorgeous detailing on the sleeves, we can’t get over how picture perfect she was and how well she styled this gown to make it her own.
Adorned in matching floral crowns, Monica’s bridesmaids wore bright magenta dresses and black over-the-knee boots, giving them a unique, bold look that was the perfect contrast to her long sleeve lace wedding dress. The large floral crown worn in Monica’s hair tied the two contrasting looks together effortlessly.
Because of her unique, true-to-self wedding day and bridal style, real Stella York bride, Monica will always be one of our faves. From that blooming floral crown, to the natural-glam decor and that long sleeve lace gown, everything about her special day was completely swoon-worthy!
