Real Stella York Bride Megan married her husband Bill in an intimate and personal ceremony at Lake Quivira in Kansas. The venue was special to them because they both had spent their childhood frequenting the lake before they knew each other. The couple had their one-year-old Wheaten Terrier puppy as their flower girl which made for some seriously adorable photos! Congratulations, Megan and Bill!
The Proposal
We were vacationing in Mexico together. We had just gone out to dinner and we were walking on the beach when he got down on one knee. I was so happy and surprised! After he proposed we enjoyed
quality time with one another before letting our friends in on the big news.
The Dress
I was looking for a simple, classic look but with a modern twist. I had an idea of what Bill would like so I also tried to keep that in mind. I had a small group of friends and family with me to try on dresses. It was so fun sharing the experience with them.
Megan wore a simple yet stunning ballgown, Style 6581 from Stella York. This dress features a Grand Mikado bodice with a full tulle skirt. If you’re looking for a traditional yet modern wedding dress, then Style 6581 is for you!
The Wedding Details
We got married at Lake Quivira. It was special to us because we both spent a lot of time out there
as kids before we knew one another. We have lots of fond memories of spending time with family,
fishing and enjoying the lake. We kept our wedding décor simple and fresh with lighter colors and lots of greenery. Our one-year-old Wheaten Terrier puppy acted as our flower girl. She was sure to lick a few of our guests as she made her way down the aisle.
Our first look was the most special part of our day! I was hesitant about having a first look because I was worried it would take away from our ceremony but I am so glad we did. The moment felt very personal and keeping it between the two of us made it even more special.
