Real Stella York Bride Laura + Patrick

Easy, breezy and beautiful! No, this isn’t a hair commercial. It is real Stella York bride Laura’s seaside wedding! Totally intimate, this ceremony was small and peaceful. Bride Laura let her easy-to-wear, low back wedding dress do the talking while the ocean set the scene for the perfect “I Do.”

From the bride: My parents were spending some time in Jupiter, Florida, after a European cruise. It was Mother’s Day weekend and Patrick privately asked my father for his blessing to marry his daughter. After gaining permission, Patrick and my father came up with a plan together with the surprise proposal. Before sitting down for lunch at the U-Tiki restaurant, my father suggested getting a family photo in front of the Jupiter Lighthouse. Right as they went to take a picture, Patrick got down on one knee and proposed to me. Of course, I said, “YES!” Luckily, the camera was all ready to go and the moment could be fully captured.

I wanted to find something comfortable and sexy for my wedding dress. We had an intimate 30 person wedding on the beach so I wanted it to fit in for a beach wedding and comfortable enough to sit down during our intimate reception dinner. We were getting married on the beach, so something easy-to-wear was essential.

Our colors were blush, grey, burlap, and white. I wanted a rustic outdoor beach wedding… while being romantic at the same time. We had a very intimate wedding of 30 people with mainly family from all around the country. We wanted to spend time with each and every person. It was perfect!

Our wedding day was all a blur and went by so very fast! But I would say seeing Patrick, my groom, for the first time during our first look was the most memorable part of the day. He had no idea what my dress would look like…and he was so happy and surprised!
