Something about this candid wedding makes our hearts skip a beat! Real Stella York bride Jessica and husband Micheal were married at golden hour in sunny California and it could not have been more perfect! Moody tones of burgundy helped their color scheme pop and gave an added hint of drama to floral arrangements. Her lace Stella York dress was just icing on the cake for this perfect wedding.
The proposal
We were eating dinner at a beautiful restaurant called the Restaurant Panorama in Dubrovnik, Croatia. It was at the top of a mountain (we had to take a cable car to get there) overlooking the breathtaking views and he proposed at sunset in front of a beautiful giant cross. I was completely shocked!! The restaurant brought out the champagne as we celebrated. It was amazing and perfect! I didn’t hesitate to say YES!
Finding the perfect Stella York wedding dress
I found my dress at the second bridal store I went too and it was the FIRST dress I tried on there (The Bustle in Del Mar, California). I tried on approx 10 dresses that day and every time I changed into another dress, my mind kept going back to the first one I tried on. Throughout the process, I just knew I wasn’t going to leave without saying yes to that first dress! I knew immediately it was the one. It complimented my body so perfectly, it was so “me” and it was in my price range. It was definitely love at first sight with my Stella York dress!
The wedding details
Our wedding took place on an absolutely gorgeous day in Temecula, CA at Ponte Winery. It was a perfect 83 degrees with a slight breeze. We had 115 guests. Our theme was an “elegant/rustic” vineyard wedding. Colors were burgundy, ivory, golds, and greens. We incorporated things my husband and I love such as… we were married under God by our pastor, lots of country music, donuts for dessert, bucket list recommendations because we love to travel, and of course WINE! What’s a vineyard wedding without lots of wine? 🙂 It was the most perfect day for both of us.
