Real Stella York Bride Elizabeth + Jordan

There’s something super sweet about aussie brides with boho weddings… and real Stella York bride Elizabeth is no exception! Her wedding to groom Jordan was simple, romantic and perfect for the pair. We love how she paired her sweetheart neckline lace wedding dress with a simple flower crown and beachy waves. On-trend bridesmaid dresses complimented the guys’ grey and black tuxes, creating a unique look for the bridal party. Dark flowers with lots of greens were hand-tied into bouquets that set the boho tone. But enough about the details! Let’s hear what the bride has to say!

From the bride: My now husband, Jordan, took me away over Queen’s birthday weekend to a secret location (which turned out to be Aire River along the Great Ocean Road). He took me to a small cottage in the Forrest by a lake. He seemed so nervous for the first day and waited until the second night to propose. He lit tea light candles and as the sun set, he asked me to spend the rest of my life with him.

I wanted a boho relaxed look; however, I still wanted my dress to have some structure in it. My dress shopping was very quick and ended up being the first dress I tried on. I got my dress on the first day we went shopping at Miss Gowns in Berwick were having a Stella York Trunk Show and my dress was there, The beautiful assistant Teagan especially picked this dress as I had shown her a photo of my dream dress (which was $10 000) and this had a similar look (but was in fact much nicer). The second I walked out my mum and bridesmaids all teared up and when Teagan put the veil on me we all couldn’t stop. I tried a few others to make sure that I hadn’t just loved it because it was the first but nothing compared to this one.

Our wedding was at Baxter Barn. It is a beautiful Rustic barn with lots beautiful scenery surrounding it. We had our ceremony in front of the cottage and it was so relaxed and really had a backyard wedding feel to it. Our flowers were a mixture of roses and natives. The colours were very romantic and helped add to the romantic boho feel. Everything was so personal as it was a small wedding of only 59 people. This gave us the chance to put attention to detail in all the little things. We had an acoustic artist sing for the ceremony and the pre-dinner drinks whilst we had out photos; our wedding favours were raw timber coasters with our names etched into them, We did our first dance underneath the fairy lights and everything was just so perfect!

The most special memory from they was when I walked down the aisle and saw my now husband for the first time. I will never forget his facial expression and how he tried to brush off his tears. It was so special.
