Real Stella York Bride: Beth + Chris

Making it a Fourth of July to remember, Stella York bride, Beth, and her husband Chris kept their “I do’s” traditional, yet relaxed. From the lawn games, to the backyard BBQ, and, of course, the moment Chris saw Beth for the first time in her Stella York lace wedding dress, it was a night guests will never forget!

From the bride: Chris and I wanted a very traditional wedding. We decided we did not want to see each other until I walked down the aisle. The most special memory was when I turned the corner and we saw each other for the first time. He instantly started crying, which made me cry. At that moment, all the stress of planning the wedding and traveling for the wedding went away. This was the moment I was dreaming about.

We wanted a rustic wedding. I grew up in Illinois, and Chris grew up in Ohio. We wanted a small wedding; therefore we decided to meet in the middle in Indiana. Our wedding planner actually owned a family barn that was used for weddings. It all started to come together. My aunts are very crafty and made all of our centerpieces. It was full of burlap, lace, and mason jars filled with baby’s breath and light pink roses. I wanted a very relaxed wedding! We had a backyard BBQ with yard games (corn hole, hillbilly golf, and jenga). Friends and family could mingle and enjoy the night. It was the perfect way to enjoy the Fourth of July.
