Real Stella York Bride Baylee + Timothy

Surrounded by (many!) friends and family members, Stella York bride, Baylee, exchanged vows with her husband, Timothy, in a true Southern wedding. Filled with so many personal touches, the day couldn’t have been more perfect – and Baylee couldn’t have looked more stunning in her wedding dress! Congrats to the happy couple!

From the bride: Timothy proposed to me while he was having a photo session for his senior year of College on the Clemson University campus: GO TIGERS!!! I was starstruck because I honestly had no idea. His mom suggested that we take a few “couples” pictures since she was paying the photographer for a two-hour session. My mom, his mom, and little brother (who was a prop) and my aunt were all watching, along with my cousin and friends watching from the bushes. The minute he popped the question, they jumped out and started cheering. All of it was captured with pictures for lifelong memories. It was a magical day as well.

It took me three different trips to find the perfect dress. I had always envisioned myself in a totally different style than what I wore. This dress was the only strapless style that I tried on, and it was the very last one I put on. I purchased it from a small boutique (Voila) in Greenwood, SC. The owner ask me to try it on. I fell in love with it immediately. I added the gorgeous belt and buttons all the way down the back to give it a little more elegance. It truly made me feel like a princess. My bridesmaids all wore Sorella Vita. They were all so beautiful.

My wedding was a true Southern Belle Elegant wedding. With 350 plus guests it was magical. My grandfather walked me down the aisle and performed the ceremony.

My wedding party was very large. Eight bridesmaids and groomsmen, three junior bridesmaids and junior groomsmen, a flower girl, a ring bearer, 11 honorary bridesmaids and four ushers.

My wedding was a true labor of love with dear friends and family all pitching in, in so many ways to help make my day the fairytale I always dreamed of. The broach on my bouquet was my great grandmother’s who was in attendance along with my other great grandmother- Granny Hicks ended up dancing and being the hit of the reception. I will always cherish being able to carry that with me down the aisle. Not a lot of people can say they had both Great Grandmothers in attendance along with all of their grandmothers.
The love that was shown to us that day was simply amazing. So much love surrounded me and Timothy and it really showed throughout the evening. We danced the night away and drove off into the sunset in my grandfather’s antique car that he had built many years ago. It was the perfect ending to my fairy tale story.

The moment my Papa brought me to the aisle and I saw Timothy standing at the other end waiting for me was just as special as I’ve always dreamed it would be. I locked eyes with my soon-to-be-husband and walked down the aisle towards him with tears in my eyes and a smile on my face. I was about to marry the love of my life and I couldn’t have been happier than I was at that very moment.
