Ahhhh Alaska, something about the last frontier makes a wedding there a little more wild and romantic, don’t you think? Well we think so at least! Real Stella York bride Amanda’s wedding was just that – romantic. In a stunning all lace wedding dress by designer Stella York, she said ‘yes’ to forever with a boy she first fell in love with in middle school. How cute is that! The two were married by the water and by the looks of it, this marriage started out with a bang.
From the bride: Nolan and I dated in middle school and reconnected when we were in college. We had a long, two year engagement and the most perfect wedding in Homer, Alaska, right on the water. We wanted somewhere unique and outdoors. Homer is about a four drive from where we live and we still had around 185 guests.
My absolute favorite part of the wedding was walking down the aisle with my dad and seeing my future husband. Reciting our vows felt so magical and celebrating the night away with a gorgeous backdrop was just the icing on the cake!
Our theme was “romantic garden chic” and included lots of beautiful white flowers and greenery. The bridesmaids and I surprised Nolan with a fun dance that we spent over a month learning and practicing! Needles to say, it was a HUGE hit! We couldn’t have asked for a better day with our friends and family! It was so fun that we’re already planning a one year anniversary party – everyone is encouraging us to and excited to come back and celebrate.
