Real Stella York bride Allison planned the most sentimentally romantic outdoor wedding to her husband Matthew! She wore Style #6718 – a classic, satin wedding dress that’s easy-to-wear and sure to stun! We’ll let Allison explain the details behind her dream nuptials:
“Even before we got engaged, I always knew I wanted a very classic, romantic and timeless wedding. Our wedding colors were all neutral with a pop of slate blue. Our venue was the perfect balance of modern, rustic and industrial so we knew these colors would bring out the best in the spaces.”
“When looking for my dress, we started by scheduling two appointments at bridal salons in Austin. The first was at Blush Bridal Lounge and I’ll just say I ended up canceling my second appointment. My wedding dress ended up being the last one I tried on, but as soon as I saw and felt the dove satin and pockets, I knew this was the dress for me. It had the timeless elegance I was looking for and hugs all of my curves perfectly. I don’t think I would have been a fraction as happy with another dress or designer.”
Allison’s favorite part of her big day? “Getting ready and the ceremony!” This bride loves to do her own makeup and she said it was the perfect opportunity to relax, reflect and relieve wedding day jitters. “While we said our vows in the grove, the birds started singing so loudly. We still have some of our guests telling us about the birds! It was truly a magical experience.”
“We made our wedding personal in so many ways! During our ceremony, we made sure to keep the crowd involved and made sure each person felt the intention of this event. Not only was it the celebration of our union, but this was the only time we would have that specific group of people together in one space. That in itself is something to be cherished!”
We also did song requests on our invitations and had our DJ pull them from a jar raffle style so we didn’t only play requests, but they were included. At each place setting we had a thank you note from Matt and I and we made sure to show our gratitude during our speech. Showing humility to our guests for the efforts made on their part was our #1 priority for sure.
