The Proposal
“My partner asked one of my best friends to take our ‘Christmas photos’ but didn’t tell her what they were really for until the day of. Since we set up in front of the city I didn’t think anything of it when there was a camera being set up on a tripod in addition to the camera she was using. We took a couple shots and when he got down on one knee I was like ‘wait these aren’t Christmas photos are they?’ I cried, we all laughed, I’m not sure if either of us actually answered the other person’s question, but it was beautiful.”
The Dress
Just as beautiful as the proposal, Remy chose the most stunning dress, Martina Liana #1059! While some brides live to go dress shopping, Remy said dress shopping wasn’t her first priority of wedding planning. “I kept putting it off, saying I’ll find something when I get around to it, mainly because I was consumed with everything else. My style is normally quite simple and I’m very plain Jane when it comes to wardrobe so that’s what I originally had in mind.” Two of her very best friends came to town, determined to help her find the perfect dress. “Every dress I tried on just wasn’t “me” whether it was too basic or too much or too flashy or not revealing enough. As we started to narrow down the style that was most complimentary with my body type we found Martina Liana’s dresses. When I came out in Style 1059, it was an instant show stopper. Just when I had my mind set on simple, here’s a dress that was everything I didn’t know I could find all in one. It had a simple bottom half with gorgeous slits of the botanical lace that were so delicately positioned. The train was perfect, not too heavy but a unique stunning design.”
“The top is the best mix of beautiful with edge and the sequences added just enough sparkle when walking in the light. It was at this moment when I got the warm and fuzzies I felt what every bride strives for…THE dress. I got that same feeling every single time I put it on.”

The Wedding
These two football lovers planned the perfect venue! “When we first met, we trained at the same gym and he would play catch with me or work with me on technique. He taught me how to watch film and always tried to make me a better athlete. He was my biggest fan at all my home games and always expected the best from me even when I made a mistake. We got married on a football field that I used to play on in the city we met in so it meant everything to us to share that with our family and friends.”
The Details
We loved Remy’s thoughtful dessert inspo! “My donut board was supposed to be set up like a football playbook and when the vendor set it up they didn’t follow the layout. After I decided it wasn’t worth the worry my friend asked me what formation I had and when I turned around she set it up the way we had originally drawn it up. It was so special and thoughtful of her to put the last touch on the details. I’m truly grateful for my friends!”
