Real Martina Liana Bride: Patti + David

We cannot get over the view at this romantic destination wedding in Santorini, Greece. Martina Liana bride Patti looked gorgeous in her wedding dress, and was positively glowing amidst the amazing Greek architecture. The small touches and family involvement made this wedding truly special and meaningful to the bride and groom.

From the Bride: It was just the two of us on July 28, 2014 – my husband, David, and me. Santorini offered a magical and absolutely stunning backdrop for our ceremony. And I loved my wedding dress so much. I got it at Blush Bridal Lounge in Austin, Texas where we live. We wrote our own vows and had the ceremony just before sunset. It was by far the most romantic thing either of us has ever done, and it truly was about us.

Neither one of us had ever been to Santorini before, but we knew how beautiful it was and we decided to make it the destination for our nuptials. Thankfully, the hotel and the wedding coordinator made all of the planning from afar a breeze.

I was accompanied down the aisle by two Greek musicians and part of our ceremony was in Greek (which neither of us speaks, ha) and the other part we had written ourselves. We’d asked for input from our parents and they provided words of advice and scripture. I also carried my late grandmother’s handkerchief, along with David’s great-grandmother’s handkerchief (which had a blue flower on it for something blue) wrapped around my bouquet.

At the end of the ceremony, the officiate placed two wreaths on our heads that were tied together by a long ribbon in the back. This is a Greek tradition that shows two uniting as one in marriage.

I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful start to our marriage.

Congratulations to Patti and David!!!
