Let’s begin with Molly and Will’s dreamy proposal.

I had recently had back surgery and went through a lengthy recovery. As soon as I could travel, Will let me plan a trip to Nuevo Vallarta Mexico with our two best friends. Little did I know that for the past 5 months he had been shopping for a ring while I was on bed rest. He seemed a little off when we traveled, but I thought it was stress. We love going on walks on the beach together to explore a new area when we travel so that is the first thing we did on our first morning before our friends arrived. Will kept trying to get me to go feel the water, finally when I did, I turned around and he was on one knee. It was just us on the beach and the perfect proposal. It felt unreal. I am not sure if I said yes but instead kept saying ‘wait is this real’. Then we spent the whole trip celebrating with our friends. And went back for our honeymoon.”

Molly had her sights set on one major wedding dress detail: the back!

“The more dresses I tried on, the more I wanted lace. I kept leaning towards one style at every dress boutique I went to. Then when I went to Bridal Boutique of Lewisville they were having a Martina Liana trunk show just for that weekend. The first dress I tried on was the one I picked. I felt so right about it and knew Will would love it. I kept trying on other dresses, but always went back to that first dress.”

Molly and Will’s big day was full of white, green and multiple shades of corals.

“The flowers I knew I had to have were coral charm peonies. Since our wedding was on Cinco de Mayo, our signature drink was a margarita on the rocks that we called ‘Swinney on the Rocks’ and we had fun dance floor props like Cinco de Mayo colored flower crowns, light up tambourines & maracas then light up glasses for the guys. It made dancing so much fun. The groomsmen wore festive suspenders made in Mexico. Another touch we had to have was cafe lighting throughout the ballroom. It made the room come together. Everything was perfect!”

The Swinney’s swoon over the reception, but Molly’s favorite part? Her first look!

“The most special memory from that day was enjoying every minute post first look with my husband. One thing we told each other before the day was that if we aren’t together we need to find the other one and enjoy every bit we can together. One thing we both love is surrounding ourselves with our family and friends so the one major thing we knew we wanted was everyone in one place at one time with a live band, but the majority of our reception spent together and my amazing husband made sure that happened on top of mingling with 200 guests.”
