Real Martina Liana Bride Margaret + Dan

Inspired by vintage romance and the simple glamor of her rose gold engagement ring, real bride Margaret planned an incredible wedding at the Four Seasons in Chicago that is sure to take your breath away! We love how she paired sequin bridesmaid dresses with her rose gold ballgown from designer Martina Liana. Capturing the traditional elegance of her venue was easy for this bride who stayed true to her vision and pulled off a wedding of sheer perfection.

From the bride: Our proposal was simply perfect. Dan and I hiked in Zion National Park for a Memorial Day Trip in 2017. We were on a trail called Taylor Creek Trail, and at the end of it is a large rock alcove. He set up the camera to “get a photo of us handsfree” so I started jumping around and doing poses… he got down on one knee!

Since we love the outdoors I had planned to make our ballroom look like a forest with glamorous elements. I knew I wanted my dress to a ball gown given how formal our reception space would be. When I put on my dress I knew it was the one. I chose a romantic ballgown with a beaded v-neckline from designer Martina Liana. I loved the soft pink color on my skin and loved how the beading reflected the light off my rose gold ring.

The theme for our wedding was Vintage Forest. Our colors were white, green, and gold and the ballroom had lots of greenery and chandeliers. We love the National Parks so each table was named after a different national park, with the head table being Zion. My bridesmaids wore mismatched gold sequin gowns, and we carried white flowers with lots of green. I love being outdoors with my husband. Since we were married in January in Chicago, an outdoor wedding wasn’t possible, so we brought the outdoors in! The day of the weather was 45 degrees so we were actually able to take some outdoor pictures, which made the day even sweeter.

My favorite memory of the day was walking into the church and seeing friends and family all together. It was one of those surreal moments where I realized everyone I love in the world is in one room, and at the end of it was my favorite person who I get to spend the rest of my life with. On top of that, I would say my first dance with my husband. We were both nervous about it, but when we walked into the ballroom and saw how beautiful the decor was we were so excited to be on the dancefloor.
