Elegant and organic, Kelly and Josh said “I do” in gorgeous fashion at their Chicago wedding. A lush greenhouse was the ideal backdrop for the couple and matched the lovely floral details in Kelly’s Martina Liana dress perfectly. Congratulations to the happy couple!
The Proposal
We got engaged in Maui, Hawaii! It was the last full day of our trip at 7:00 am on our hotel balcony. We agreed to wake up and watch the sunrise on our balcony. Our alarms went off and I snoozed the clock, but Josh got up. Little did I know what he was up to! Finally, my alarm went off again and I rolled out of bed and stumbled into the living room of our suite and it had a trail of flowers leading to the balcony door! Josh walked me out there, got down on one knee, and ask me to marry him! I was so surprised I was still in my pajamas and wearing my sleep mask with my teeth and hair unbrushed! He must really love me!
The Wedding Details
I wanted a timeless dress but with details that made the dress stand out from any other bridal grown. I also needed a dress that was easy to move in because I love to dance! It also had to have sparkles! I found the perfect Martina Liana gown at Bella Bridal.
Our wedding was in a beautiful greenhouse filled with floral and greenery from floor to ceiling and had was lit with hundreds of candles come sundown! Our bridal colors were blush while sticking to the greenery and floral theme. Josh and I are adventurous outdoorsy people, so it was perfect to have our wedding in such a magical place that made you like you were outdoors!
All five times I cried were the moments of the day I will cherish forever! I had tears of joy during our first look, walking down the aisle while saying our vows, during our first dance, and during the mother and bride dance!
