Real Martina Liana bride Katie has lived a real life fairytale; from her incredible aquarium proposal to the day she exchanged vows with husband Dennis. Read the sweet details of her Santa Barbara wedding below:
It all started at the Aquarium of the Pacific. Kate and Dennis were walking around and admiring the sea life when they stopped to watch a show at the tropical fish tank.
“The show had a scuba diver talking under water through his mask. The scuba diver explained how they cleaned the tank and that he spotted something at the bottom. Then he said something must have dropped earlier in the day. So, he disappeared to the bottom and came up with a sign that said ” Katie, will you marry me?” and in disbelief, I turned to look at Dennis.
As I looked to him he was already on one knee and was holding the ring box which he hid in his jacket. He asked for my hand in marriage and I was in such shock I forgot to answer. I just kissed him and held in the tears. He then prompted me again and I said YES!!!. The crowd, who had been patiently waiting for my answer, then burst into applause and cheering.”
The day Katie said “I do” was just as dreamy as the day she said “YES!” She wore Martina Liana Style #848, a soft and romantic wedding dress with a plunging neckline. Katie customized the dress to add timeless lace sleeves!
“I went to 5 different bridal salons that were local and tried on about 20 dresses. The boutique I bought from was really relaxed and the people were so kind. I loved the dress that I picked but really wanted a 3/4 sleeve so when she told me I could custom make my dress I was so excited! The bridal salon took pictures and measurements and sent if off with the order. The dress came out perfect! No one could tell that I added a sleeve, everyone at the wedding thought it was made that way. It was such great quality and craftsmanship and comfy too!

The gorgeous big day was filled with vintage Spanish details. Katie and Dennis’ favorite part? “Walking down the aisle to my husband and dancing with all our friends and family!”
