Real Martina Liana Bride Hailey + Shale

A Cabo wedding with some serious Dallas flair, we love the unique vibe real bride Hailey went after for her beachside celebration! Complete with a dress change, Hailey’s wedding to husband, Lance, was simply perfect. Congratulations to this newlywed couple!

From the bride: My husband told me we had a work happy hour to go to at Nylo Hotel in Dallas. He created a fake invitation and emailed it to me earlier in the week so that I wouldn’t suspect anything. When we showed up, I figured we were just early, because none of his coworkers had arrived yet. We got a drink at the bar and he led me to the rooftop area; there was literally no one there, so I knew something was up! He wanted to take a selfie on Snapchat (another reason I knew something was going on- he doesn’t take selfies). He then scrolled through and showed me a custom-made Snapchat filter that said “Mr. And Mrs. Gulbas”. He dropped to his knee and asked me to marry him. There was also a photographer there snapping photos of us. Afterwards, about 50 of our closest family and friends came to the hotel to celebrate with us over bottles of champagne! The next day, we flew to Napa Valley for a weekend getaway!

Our wedding was in Cabo San Lucas. I chose Cabo, because I had been going on family vacations there every year since high school, and I always knew I wanted to get married there. It’s beautiful and so much fun. I didn’t want a traditional Mexico wedding. The theme was kind of a “Dallas meets Cabo” wedding. I basically wanted to recreate a Dallas-type wedding in Cabo. I chose mostly white and silver, with a hint of light blue, so that it didn’t take away from the beautiful setting. My favorite addition was the light tent on the dance floor.

I had no idea what look I wanted to achieve on my wedding day. I wanted to stay away from the traditional lace gown that most brides wear when they have destination weddings. When I tried on this gown paired with the skirt, I knew I found it! I loved the fact that the dress was simple and sleek, and that I paired it with the organza skirt for the ceremony and then removed the skirt for the reception. I had two completely different looks, and I loved them both!
