Sara and Chris knew they were meant to be. As high school sweethearts, they spent years falling in love and realizing that the things that mean the most in life are being surrounded by loved ones and having a blast. This quickly became the theme of their wedding. Read Sara’s fairytale wedding details:
“We wanted something simple and pretty. Chris (the groom) actually chose our wedding colors of dusty blue and silver. We had lots of flowers throughout the chapel and reception area, all set in the rolling mountains of North Georgia. Getting married on Cinco de Mayo, we also threw in a few fun elements, like an entrance and exit with maracas and sombreros and a taco and margarita bar.”
Sara and Chris indulged in the sentimental details of their wedding. Their favorite part? Sweet, heartfelt letters that they wrote to each other. “Our favorite memory of the day was when we read our letters to each other during the ceremony. Hearing our love story in each other’s words and sharing our promises for the rest of time in front of our family and friends is something that we will never forget!”
Just like she knew when she met Chris, Sara knew she found the gown on her third try!
“Going shopping, I honestly just had a vague idea of what I wanted. I knew I wanted something with straps to hold up the girls, as well as something rather simple in nature. I had looked online at some Essense of Australia dresses, and I loved that they had so many affordable options for plus size brides! I found a shop in Atlanta, Suite Bridal, that carried the dresses. Everyone at Suite Bridal was INCREDIBLE. My wedding dress was the third one I tried on, and I didn’t want to take it off! I could not have been more happy with how I looked in it on our wedding day!”
