The Proposal
Nicky proposed to me at the Zoo at night time, where we could see the skyline of Sydney & he had cut a ring size hole in the chapter “the unbreakable vow” in a Harry Potter book, which was sitting there for me to open! Very special.
The Dress
All I knew was that I wanted buttons on an open back and long sleeves. I went to my first dress shop with my mother, mother in law and bridesmaids and it was the first dress I tried on! It was perfect.
The Wedding Details
I had red wine coloured bridesmaid dresses, with the rest of the theme native Australian flowers and the colour gold. All the men in the bridal party including husband Nicky wore Kilts for his/our Scottish heritage. We met in high school and were friends for years, so we had all our best friends from high school to complete our bridal party.
Seeing each other for the first time at the end of the aisle, the stress of walking down the aisle over and we were so excited and had a quick exchange about how great each other looked & how good the weather was!
