Yes, we’ll admit it, we’re kind of obsessed with boho weddings. There’s just something about the florals, the romantic, natural backdrops, and when you throw in a lace wedding dress, we’re hooked! So when we saw real Essense of Australia bride Jessika’s amazing wedding photos, we had instant heart eyes. From her romantic woodsy ceremony to that sweet beachfront walk, everything was bohemian perfection! Congrats to this beautiful couple!
From the bride: Our wedding was in Michigan (where my husband is from) and we planned the whole thing while living in Colorado (where I am from and we currently live). He proposed to me on the beach in Holland, MI where we lived at the time! Our cousins were hiding as a fisherman as well as a secret photographer!! He surprised me so much that I started to walk away out of shock (was very funny looking back!)
I had a lot of DIY items at my wedding, meaning the dollar store was my best friend!! I made a waterfall flowers that covered my huge windows in my venue I loved them so much!! I would want brides who are getting married in different states to know that it is doable to plan a 200+ person wedding from a different state and have it still be a dream come true!
One of the best memories I have is the first look that we did. I’ve dated my husband for 7 years so we were dreaming of this moment for a while. He cried when he saw me in my dress and it made it so special. Also, our photographer let us wander around in the woods for a little together (as she took pictures) so we could have a moment together letting our wedding day sink in!!
