A chance meeting at a campsite lead into the perfect romance – and wedding venue! We can’t get enough of Essense bride, Heather’s outdoor wedding, complete with the perfect gown. Congrats to the happy couple!
From the bride: Our wedding was absolute perfection and we honestly wouldn’t change a thing about it. We met camping off of a dirt road in the middle of nowhere through mutual friends so when we found Hidden Oaks in Ramona, California it was as though we were meant to get married there. Our venue was down a dirt road that dead ended in the most beautiful area surrounded by oak trees. The simplicity of the venue made it so uniquely beautiful that we booked it on the spot. As far as wedding tips, I think the greatest advice we got was to make a list of the things we couldn’t live without on our wedding day and the things that we weren’t as concerned with. We ended up spending a larger portion of our budget on our photographer and videographer and opted for simplicity when it came to our food and alcohol choices. We had our wedding catered by a local vendor who made the most amazing homemade tacos that our guests are still raving about and offered 2 beer and 2 wine options so that we could still have an open bar (something very important to us). I made all of the rustic wooden signs for our wedding and kept the decor simple and it turned out perfect.
The most special memory of the day was our first look before the ceremony. We were both so nervous and excited and we decided to do a first look about a week before the wedding. We wanted the first time we saw each other to be just about us and we were so happy we made that decision. I had butterflies from the moment I saw him standing at the end of a dirt road waiting for me. Our photographer captured the most beautiful photos of that moment and we love looking at them and remembering that feeling.
