Real bride Evelyn had a jaw-dropping wedding at the Ritz Carlton in Hawaii. Her photos are absolutely breathtaking! Evelyn wore Essense of Australia Style D2680 and is still head-over-heels for her dress. Read more about their beautiful wedding below!
My boyfriend at the time and I had a trip to Paris planned. We took a train out to visit the Palace of Versailles one day and I didn’t think much of it at all. We saw that the garden behind the palace was beautiful so we decided to visit it. Apparently, he had tried to get me to certain key spots so he could propose, such as in front of the water fountain but I said there were too many people there, or by the side of a man-made pond but I got distracted by a huge spider spinning a web in between trees. Eventually, I had followed him into another water area with rowboats and that’s where he proposed. I was so shocked that I got the nervous giggles which led him to wonder if I would say yes. But obviously, I did!
Finding a dress was very difficult for me because I am so meticulous and had a very specific vision. I was having a destination wedding in Hawaii so I knew I wanted something light, flowy, but still elegant with lots of lace. A lot of the dresses I tried on had trains that were either really big and heavy or too short for my taste. I knew that Style D2680 was the dress when I tried it on. It was unparalleled with the rest and had good contrast in all the best ways possible. I was so glad I went with it because I never got sick of it throughout the dress fitting process, and even now after the wedding.
The Wedding Details
I knew I wanted a destination wedding because I absolutely love going to them. We had our wedding at the Ritz Carlton Kapalua on Maui, and because the venue itself is already so beautiful we decided not to do specific set colors. We wanted a lot of white/ivory florals with some greenery, to complement the dark wood in the reception area. The ceremony was outdoors and we requested for a lot of flowers.
