The Proposal
While they met in high school, the Heims had big dreams individually that took their relationship long-distance as they attended separate colleges. Confirming the old “distance makes the heart grow fonder” saying, Hogan planned the most romantic proposal. “At Georgia Southern University, there’s an old wives’ tale that says if you walk around the part of the college called the ‘sweetheart circle,’ you would get married. Hogan planned it all out and walked me around three times then proposed right there!”
The Dress
With a December wedding in mind, Emma began dress shopping. “I wanted so many things, but my mom and I both thought there was no way I could have it all,” she said. Some of her bridal must-haves: colored gown, open back, somewhat modest and floral lace – with sleeves. Her stylist knew exactly what would make her bridal vision come to life! “Style #D2186 was the fourth dress I tried on. As soon as I put it on, I knew. I was in LOVE!”

The Wedding
Set at Emma’s church that she grew up in, the Heims said “I do!” “Our colors were black, gold, white and lots of greenery,” Emma swooned. “It was truly incredible. I wanted a simple, modern boho vibe.” Her favorite part? “Just being married!” She said. “Getting ready, first look, spending time with my family and friends – it was incredible.”
