From the bride: Andrew and I are both teachers and met in college. We had been friends for years when our education cohort took a trip to Tybee Island during our senior year for a teaching seminar. While there, Andrew pulled me away to talk. In that moment, I knew that he was the one I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. One year later, a few of our closest friends took a short weekend trip back to Tybee Island. Our last night there, we all went down to the beach to take pictures. When I turned around, Andrew was down on one knee. He could not have picked a better place to propose than where it all began. The best part was that my best friend, Lindsey Smith, was able to capture the whole proposal!
We had an incredible Christmas wedding at the Buford Community Center. We chose this location due to how extraordinary it is at Christmastime. With the 20-foot Christmas trees, garland, lights, and marble stairs, there was no better choice. It was an elegant location that was able to host our 250 guests. The food was amazing and the live band was the perfect addition to our perfect night! Something that I am so happy that we did was have two photographers and a videographer. We tried our best to cherish every moment, but the day went by so quickly! We are very happy that we had all of our memories captured to look back on for years to come.
My favorite memory of the day was the look on Andrew’s face when he saw me in my wedding dress for the first time. It’s an image I will never forget! His genuine excitement compared to a little kid on Christmas morning. I have never felt so loved and so beautiful than in that very moment. This was the most special moment from our wedding day, hands down!
