Real Essense of Australia Bride Caitlin + Ryan

A rustic, elegant wedding day only enhanced with the perfect lace wedding dress, real Essense of Australia bride, Caitlin, had the most memorable day marrying husband Ryan. Read on to see more of this sweet couple’s wedding day!

From the bride: I was having a girls night out with my sister who was in town from NYC. We went to Cape May for dinner and unbeknownst to me, my sister and my boyfriend conspired to have him come to the restaurant and propose. While we were having drinks he stuck up behind me and when I turned around he was on one knee, with the ring box in his hand. People applauded when I said yes, just like a movie. The best part is my sister was there to capture the moment with her phone!

I would classify my bridal style as romantic rustic/elegance with a little bohemian thrown in. I wanted to look sexy but sweet and, as I normally don’t wear a lot of makeup, like myself. My hair and make up was simple but romantic with a loosely braided updo. The dress I choose really set the tone for a romantic look.

I went shopping with just my Mom and tried on probably 10 gowns that each felt like I was playing dress up until I put on the Essense of Australia dress. I knew it was the one by the look on my Moms face. It was perfect.

Our theme was rustic elegance with lots of flowers and greenery. The colors were a grey/blue, white, green and peach. We had the best florist, who incorporated our engagement pictures blown up and in vintage frames greeting our guests. The table favors were succulents in mercury vases and we had glass bottles with our pictures inside from various times in our relationship displayed on the mantles at our venue, that my Mom made.

I think the morning getting ready with my sisters and my Mom was the best memory of the day. We were in the Penthouse of the hotel were my new husband and I would spend our first night as man and wife. It was so relaxing and fun, sipping mimosas, eating and having our hair and makeup done. Putting my dress on and having the first reveal to my Dad and sisters was a memory I will always cherish. I felt like a bride for the first time and sharing that memory with my family was something I always dreamed about.
