The Proposal
We love hearing all about how the wedding came to be, so let’s start with the Held’s proposal! “We were in Mexico vacationing in Isla Mujeres,” Alexandra said. “After dinner during sunset, Paul took me down to a gazebo on the water and proposed, barely getting any words out because he was so nervous!”
The Dress
Sometimes, the dress shopping process can be as nerve-wracking as the proposal, but when you have a clear idea of what you want, it’s easy to know when you’ve found the one! Alexandra went to three different bridal shops before finding her gown at the Bridal Suite Boutique. She chose Essense of Australia Style #D2548.
A completely bespoke design, this layered lace wedding dress with plunging V-neckline is oh-so dreamy. A high neckline with an organic-lace finish perfectly complements the plunging V-neckline of this bodice. Layers of cotton-style lace and French lace come together to create a soft, unique look that continues through the bodice and onto the skirt. Sheer cutouts adorn the sides of the gown, and extend into an open back. Bugle beadwork is placed throughout the gown to help create dimension. Large, lace motifs adorn the back of the skirt, which extends into a long, frothy train.

Alexandra chose the perfect gown to compliment her beach wedding. Her colors were pink, sage and cream to evoke a light and airy feel. The overall theme was “tropical beach chic,” and the Held’s described their big day as a fun beach party.

The Held’s favorite moments of their big day? “First look & dancing all night!” With such a fun bridal party and venue, it’s easy to see why!
