Real Essense of Australia Bride Jaclynn + Travis

A lifelong love, a Pride and Prejudice inspired wedding and a breathtaking Essense of Australia bride in a gorgeous lace dress… what could be better? Drawing inspiration from their favorite novel, real bride, Jaclynn and her husband Travis planned the perfect English countryside celebration surrounded by loving friends and family. Cheers to the newlyweds!

From the bride: I’ve known my husband my entire life. We grew up together because our dads were best friends from high school. We began dating 8 years ago and had to deal with the constant heartache of long distance as we finished our education in different states. Our families and love for each other always kept us together!

My husband’s uncle is a jeweler in our hometown and he helped Travis design my engagement and wedding ring from scratch. It is so sentimental as the number of stones in the band represents the number of years we’ve been together and he had “M’s” and “H’s” hollowed out on the inside of the band to symbolize our two last names coming together as one family! When he proposed, he took me back to the woods on his family farm and got down on one knee on one of the trail paths. This is also where we had our first date 4-wheeling almost seven years prior!

Travis and I are hopeless romantics and I’ve always been obsessed with the book “Pride and Prejudice” so we used this theme while planning our wedding! We had long flowy dresses for my bridesmaids and hunter green bow ties for the groomsmen. We wanted everything to be classic English countryside elegance! This started and ended with my beautiful all lace, delicately detailed dress with scalloped edges and train to swoon over! I had a fingertip veil to cap everything off and we took our wedding photos outside at our family farm. We wanted our wedding to be focused on two families coming together that have been friends for many years! We wanted to share our happiness with all our closest friends and prove that hard work and dedication does pay off in the end.

The most special memory was the moment we said our vows. We memorized them and they came out so strong and true. In addition to that, I’m a huge Daddy’s girl and we had a “first look” before he walked me down the aisle. As soon as he saw me, he burst into tears. I’ve only ever seen my dad cry once before, this was an earth-shattering moment for me! At our reception, my oldest sister gave a toast highlighting our relationship over the past 8 years and how special it is to find your true love and hang on to them since you’re 15 years old! Our guests were nonstop on the dance floor and even lifted my husband and me upon their shoulders to celebrate! When I looked out at everyone, it felt like we were on top of the world surrounded by all our loved ones. It felt surreal!
