The Proposal:
This proposal was one of the sweetest, most intimate proposals! Grab the tissues, because this one will tug at your heartstrings.
From Jemmimah’s point of view: “ October 19th, 2018….it was Shea’s birthday. I had arranged a dinner date but I had no idea that he had spoken to the management team at the restaurant, dropped off a bouquet the day before and handed over my ring to the receptionist while we entered.
Dinner was fabulous. When dessert came, the team came to sing him happy birthday….or so I thought. They came with the dish and placed it on the table asking him to open it, I had no idea someone was recording. I was too enthusiastic about them singing to him. He opened the dessert dish and there it was, the box that held the ring! I was still in shock, it was only when he dropped to his knees I knew what was happening.
He told me that day that he knew from the day he met me that I would be his wife…..it was crazy to believe because we were high school sweethearts and how could a 16-year-old be so sure? That day he asked me to gift him the best thing I ever could…my hand in marriage. I said yes!”
We’re not crying, you are! We live for a fabulous proposal story and Shae and Jemmimah nailed it with this one.
We asked Jemmimah how she came to find her wedding dress. She said “I wanted to look elegant and effortlessly beautiful. I told the clerks at the dress shops just that. I told them some dresses I saw online I wanted to try and the first dress they brought me as their pick was Martina Liana Style 895…..I fell in love!” She accessorized her Martina Liana wedding dress with a beautiful bridal cape, a chic updo and a bountiful bouquet. Jemmimah was the picture of bridal perfection on her wedding day.
The Wedding Details:
We asked Jemmimah the vibe she was going for on her big day. She said “I wanted it to be like heaven on earth—divine and pure. The cookies were gold, champagne and white.” From what we can tell, this wedding was absolutely divine.
We asked the bride what her favorite part of her wedding day was. Here’s what she had to say, “The awe in Shea’s eyes when he saw me walking down the aisle. He was love-struck and confident in his decision.”
