Maggie Louise Bridal Boutique

Store of the Week: Maggie Louise Bridal Boutique in Memphis, TN

After getting her start as a wedding photographer, Maggie Louise Bridal Boutique owner Molly, fell head-over-heels in love with the pure joy of all things wedding, but more than anything, that moment when the bride stepped into her gown for the very first time. She turned that love into a Memphis bridal boutique, and for the past four years she has made it her mission to infuse every bride’s search for the perfect gown with a wholesome dose of southern hospitality and love and creating a unique bridal experience.

We asked the ladies of Maggie Louise Bridal Boutique all about their Memphis bridal shop and what’s currently trending in the Tennessee bridal market:

What wedding dress trends are hot right now in your area?
We are in the south, so lace is a trend that never goes out of style around here! Whether the lace is all over or just the perfect added detail, many of our southern gals love to walk down the aisle in lace.

We are also seeing brides go toward the changeable wedding day look, often times with a bolero or a detachable skirt. Then, they have one look for the wedding plus an element of surprise for the reception.

What’s the number one thing your brides are asking for?
We are seeing lots of brides request open or low backs on their wedding gowns right now. The guests spend much of the ceremony looking at the back of the couple, and our brides want just as much of a “wow” factor in the back as in the front! We have found many of our Martina Liana gowns have those stunning backs our brides love – and we love them, too!

How do you make the bride’s experience memorable?
We provide every bride with a complimentary consultation before her appointment so that we can get to know her and her vision for the big day. This allows us to carefully choose gowns from our collection that best reflect her unique style and match all her preferences. We also give every bride a one-on-one appointment with a personal stylist. Not only is she the only bride in the store, but her stylist is available throughout the appointment to assist in trying on gowns and discussing any custom changes she may want in order to create a truly one-of-a-kind look.

What is the best advice you would give a bride as she is shopping for her wedding gown?
Stay true to yourself and your special day. Our brides are typically dealing with a lot of opinions over the entire wedding planning process, so we encourage them to focus on themselves in this moment and choose a gown that reflects who they are and who their groom fell in love with!
