Inspired by classic and elegant neutrals, real Essense of Australia bride Lauren had the wedding of her dreams. As a dress buyer, she knew exactly what she was doing when she picked Essense of Australia dress D2208.
The Proposal: We got engaged in Aruba in the summer of 2017 and it was my birthday. We had a walk out room at the resort that went right out to the beach. In the grassy area right next to our room, there was a gazebo that I was so fixated on. The night of my birthday, we were getting ready to go out to dinner. Chris asked me if I wanted him to take my picture in the gazebo (I would never pass on a photo op). I went in the gazebo and waited for him to take my picture. He then proceeded by saying “I know what would make this picture even better”. He pulled out the ring and got down on one knee. It was so special because it was a moment that just him and I shared.
Finding the perfect wedding dress:
On my wedding day I wanted to look glam. I wanted to look like myself, but I also wanted everyone to know that I was the bride. I am a dress buyer so this part of the wedding planning experience was a little different for me. I only went to two stores and I knew exactly what I wanted as soon as I saw it! From the minute I saw the Essense of Australia dress, it was the only one I gravitated towards. Once I put it on, it solidified my love for it even more!
Wedding Details: My colors were gold and neutrals. I’m a neutral person from my wardrobe to my home decor, I don’t typically incorporate a lot of color. My bridesmaids all wore shades of champagne. I had gold accents in my bouquets and arrangements of neutral flowers with greenery. I had touches of gold on all the tables including guest tables and gift tables. The same flowers were used on my simple wedding cake.
The first look with my husband is my most special memory. I didn’t know what to expect and what emotions I would feel. The moment he turned around and I saw his face will be a moment I will never forget!
