You may know her as one of your favorite bloggers, but did you know that Bre Shepard was an Essense of Australia bride?! She’s sharing how and why she chose the Essense of Australia wedding dress she wore on her wedding day along with some tips on how to find your dream dress. Bre and her husband, just celebrated their 3 year wedding anniversary — congrats your guys! In honor of their 3-year anniversary, Bre takes a trip down memory lane and shares her journey to find her dream dress.
When it comes to her wedding, Bre says that her most-asked question is “where is your dress from?” Along with that question, she also gets asked how she knew her wedding dress was “the one” and how she chose the style. Bre knew she wanted a long-sleeved wedding dress before she was even engaged. She said, “I had never known anyone who wore a gown with sleeves, so I thought it would be unique while maintaining a timeless look.” Bre had a budget and style in mind when she began looking for her dress. Bre went to two stores looking for her dream dress, finally, at her third bridal salon, Bre found Essense of Australia. When Bre put on her Essense of Australia dress, she said she “instantly felt like it was perfect for me”. She said, “I loved the whole look and thought that the lace almost looked like flowers, vines, or greenery.”
Bre describes her wedding day style as: “elegant, bohemian, and romantic.” She said “I definitely wanted my wedding dress to be traditional and elegant in a way that years from now, I could look back and still think it was a timeless decision. However, I also really wanted it to describe my fun style, and I feel like the construction and details of the gown did just that! I love that the Essense bride is carefree, free-spirited and has a dress that perfectly describes who she is.”
Three years later, Bre is still so happy with her Essense of Australia wedding dress. She said, “I am literally still just as obsessed with this dress as I was almost three years ago, haha! I love that Essense of Australia created gowns that are unique, extremely high quality, and also very timeless at the same time. I would choose this dress again if I was getting married tomorrow! There is something to say about a dress that is fashion-forward, elegant, modern, and traditional all at once. I can still remember the feeling of wearing my Essense gown on our wedding day. I honestly felt like the most gorgeous girl in the world. The Essense designers love these details as much as the bride; whether it be beading, lace, a plunging neckline, open back, or pockets, they know what brides are looking for!” How sweet is she?
