What wedding dress trends are hot right now in your area?
Detailed backs and “Boho” styled gowns. Sheer accents or bodices and mixed lace details are also in demand. Creative cut-outs and delicate straps are on the rise as well!
What’s the number one thing your brides are asking for?
Brides want something simple and sweet. It’s all about details and a nice delicate look.
How do you make the bride’s experience memorable?
Listen to the bride above the crowd, but be respectful. Make sure the bride knows her opinion is the one that matters, and that you are here to help her get her vision from top to bottom.
What’s the most surprising request you’ve ever gotten from a bride?
Not much can surprise us these days but unusual requests do pop up. One very petite bride said she felt overlooked for so long that she wanted her dress to be as BIG as possible on the day of her wedding. She wore so many slips/petticoats under her gown that she couldn’t fit through the dressing-room door without a push!
What’s your favorite wedding story from one of your brides?
Our brides have such amazing wedding stories so it would be hard to choose but some of our favorites involve travel! We have brides that come in from places like Italy, France, Denmark, Mexico, Belize, and Alaska to work with us, and so many more are traveling to exotic locations to tie the knot as well!
What is the best advice you would give a bride as she is shopping for her wedding gown?
#1 Don’t bring too many opinions into your decision, they can overtake your experience and the hint of mystery behind your choice is part of the fun!
#2 It’s easier than you think! Over-shopping can cause more stress than clarity, so let yourself fall in love, be happy, and check it off your list!
