Believe it or not, choosing a color palette that all your friends will look great in is easier than you think! For 2020 bridal parties, we think Eucalyptus and Sangria are going to be two major color trends we’ll be seeing everywhere. These softer shades are ideal for brides wanting to make a strong color statement while remaining on-trend.
Eucalyptus is s great color for weddings all year but we think this color works particularly well in the spring and summer. This lusciously soft shade feels a bit more casual than typical green colors and will give your besties a very natural feel. Pairing this color with soft white blooms really makes the color POP.
The next color we think we will be everywhere is Sangria. For the past couple of years, burgundy has dominated the bridesmaid’s scene but as more and more brides choose this color, it feels less and less new and exciting. For 2020 bridal parties, Sangria is the perfect choice to bridge the trend in a new way! This more muted red tone works well with fall and winter wedding – but when intermixed in a mi-and-match color scheme it can be worn year-round. Sangria feels warm and soft so we love it for a more formal wedding setting.
So you might be asking yourself what fabrics and silhouettes work best with these new colors? For us, there’s no better bridesmaid fabric than chiffon! Flowy, lightweight and universally flattering, chiffon bridesmaid dresses are the way to go for 2020 bridal parties. Both Eucalyptus and Sangria really work well with this fabric choice, too. Because each color is more of a muted tone, chiffon acts as a great way to add a little formality to a dress that really plays up the modern colors.
As far as silhouettes go, we still think long dresses with classic v-neckline will be big in 2020 – because honestly, why mess with a classic?
