The 5 Minute Beauty Routine

I say YES! To the 5 minute makeover. Yes to not grooming yourself to an impossibly high standard that is too often seen on Youtube or Instagram. Yes to being closer to your natural and beautiful self and yes to saving those precious minutes and spending them on something more important than makeup! Sounds crazy from a makeup artist you say? Not really, the more you know the less you apply, skilfully applied makeup (even in less than 5 minutes) can still make sure you are putting your best face forward to tackle your day.

Here are two 5 minute makeup options to make the most of every minute you have.

  1. Start with applying a good tinted moisturiser or light base with an SPF. Keep it light and focused on evening out your skin rather than covering it.
  2. Apply a good concealer to under your eye, around your nose and mouth. Apply it also to any blemishes you might have that need a little love.
  3. Lightly dust some setting powder over your face.
  4. Take a larger powder brush and swipe it into a little bronzer and dust your face, cheeks and then take a smaller eye brush and use the bronzer for your eyeshadow.
  5. Add some mascara focusing on the outer edge of the eye with some generous sweeps.
  6. Take your favourite lip colour and blot lightly over your lips giving them a hint of colour and not dramatic.
  7. Add a slick of gloss or balm if desired.

  1. Apply a generous layer of Freeman’s cucumber peeling mask. Allow to dry then peel off leaving a soft and fresh face.
  2. Apply a dry touch sunscreen.
  3. Using Nars Pure Radiance tinted moisturiser, apply a light layer to your face.
  4. Conceal with Glossier stretch concealer in areas that need the most attention.
  5. Set with Becca Brightening powder
  6. Add some taupe powder to your brows
  7. Using a taupe eye crayon, apply a layer across your eyelid to add some dimension. Blend with your finger gently.
  8. Apply your mascara.
  9. Buff a light layer of bronzer to your skin for a healthy glow.
  10. Slick a generous amount of Burt Bees tinted lip balm to your lips for colour and hydration and protection.

This cult beauty constellation of multi-coloured powder pearls with an unforgettable violet fragrance.   I’m such a fan of these products “Meteorites” correct, colour and add tone to your skin. Meteorites hold the secret to Stardust technology – a light-creating polymer, which transforms light invisible to the naked eye into a pure and endless glow on the skin. A subtle blend of matte, rosy and radiant blue-toned white pearls, combined with corrective coloured pearls – yellow to counter redness, pink for freshness and mauve to catch the light – they light up the face in an illuminating and corrective halo to give endless radiance.
