5 tips for choosing your summer bridal bouquet
- If you’re hosting an outdoor wedding, beware of the oversized bouquet. Big bouquets are more likely to wilt in the heat. A better choice is an arrangement with a waxy flower like the calla lily, gardenia or stephanotis.
- Opt for a morning flower delivery, and keep your bridal bouquet chilled in a refrigerator until minutes before your ceremony.
- Have your maid of honor hold your bouquet in the shade in between photo snaps to keep it fresh.
- For a more casual wedding, choose a soft hue; for a more formal occasion, go for something with a vibrant pop of color.
- Save money by choosing in-season summer flowers like clematis, craspedia, chamomile daisies, dahlias, carnations, freesia and garden roses.
