Real Stella York Bride Kelly + Tyler

Kelly and Tyle’s wedding was a celebration of love both present and past. These two young lovers spent their special day basking in the glow of love, friendship, and family. Kelly’s vision came to life at the incredible Huber’s Orchard and Winery in sunny Indiana. Her Stella York lace halter-neck gown played off of her love for traditional bridal fashion. Congrats to the happy couple!

From the bride: Our wedding was at a beautiful Orchard in September on a perfect sunny day. Our bridal party wore gray and light aqua and our flowers were white and green to compliment the beautiful scenery around us. We made our wedding personal by making it just like us- in love and ready for a good time! We packed our dance floor with ones we love most, goofed off in a photo booth, and danced to our first song with a slideshow of pictures from our journey of falling in love.

Tyler totally caught me by surprise when he proposed. I was walking in downtown Lexington, KY to go to dinner with a few friends… and there he was in the downtown park with signs that said… “Kelly, you are beautiful and joyful, my one and only, and my wife?”. He was wearing the green plaid shirt he wore on our first date and got down on one knee to ask me to marry him!! I couldn’t stop jumping for joy and I will never forget that special day.

I had the BEST shopping experience at Rebecca’s Bridal Boutique in Louisville, KY! My mom, sister, future mother-in-law, and best friend had only one day that we were all available to go dress shopping, so we made a reservation! Little to my knowledge was that it was a Stella York trunk show day. I wanted to find a dress that would make me feel timelessly beautiful, but most importantly, a dress that I could dance the night away in with my husband! It was the first dress I tried on and no others could compare to how it made me feel. I could not miss the chance to wear this dress on my wedding day, so I said “YES THIS IS MY DRESS!” and while I was getting measured, I asked the sweet woman her name and she told me she’s one of the designers of my dress. WOW! That day couldn’t have gotten any better. I got to thank the amazing designer on the Stella York team and walk away knowing I would be the most beautiful version of myself on our wedding day. Then, my dress only became more special when my mom surprised me with a “something blue” heart sewn into my dress from one of my Dad’s old button down shirts. He passed away 3 years ago, but I could feel him with me and had a memory of him with me all day long.

One of my favorite moments of the day was seeing the look on the faces of my best friends and husband on our wedding day! As difficult as it was, I kept my wedding gown a total surprise and it was definitely worth it! My best friends squealed, a few ugly cried, and my husband had a look of shock and amazement. Thank you to Stella York for making me feel so beautiful on my wedding day that I couldn’t stop dancing around with a smile on my face that I got to marry the one I love in the one dress I love.
