Sahar and Parham traveled across the globe to say “I do” in an absolutely fabulous wedding. Surrounded by their closest friends and family, the couple used white flowers and touches of gold to accent their theme. Sahar chose a Martina Liana wedding gown for her big day and looked incredible.
We got engaged on May 19, 2018 at a majestic house on a sprawling Texas ranch. Parham had told me we had been invited to an intimate dinner at a friend’s house. He had step up a stunning canopy in the middle of their pond. He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him under the canopy. Our proposal was featured on howtheyasked, too!
Finding the perfect Martina Liana wedding dress
I wanted to look elegant and timeless. I had searched almost every bridal boutique in town and just couldn’t find anything that I fell in love with. I had almost lost hope and thought I will never have the feeling all brides experience when they try on the one. I walked into Brickhouse Bridal with no hope and as soon as I put my dress on tears started rolling down. It was exactly what I had wanted in a dress. It was gorgeous but at the same time comfortable. It was very important to me to wear something I could move around in because I was going to dance all night at my wedding and the dress couldn’t hold me back.
The wedding details
The wedding was all white with gold accessories. Our venue was out of this world and truly one of the most gorgeous places I have ever seen in my life so there was not much we needed to do to make it more beautiful. There were white flowers and orchid drops everywhere which made it even more dreamy. We had a custom illustration of ourselves as wedding favors and everyone loved that idea.
Right before our grand entrance to the reception, my husband and I shared an intimate dance right in the middle of the garden. It was so special to have a few moments just the two of us. I remember telling him, “I can’t believe this is all our wedding.” We had traveled across the world to share our big day with all of our dear family and friends and with everything going on in the world, at times during the planning it seemed impossible. Many times we were told by others to cancel the wedding and just have it in the states. So to have been able to pull if off and have the wedding in our homeland, in the dreamiest venue, surrounded by our loved ones was just magical and at that moment it all felt like a dream.
