Getting married at the spot you got engaged at? Could anything be more romantic? That’s exactly what real bride Paige did for her wedding to groom Ross. Wearing an incredible Martina Liana strapless wedding dress, the bride looked completely romantic. Read on for more about their stunning Croatian wedding.
A year before our wedding we were on vacation in Croatia with my now husband’s parents. It was a special celebration trip for us all because my mother in law had just finished intense treatment for pancreatic cancer and she was doing remarkably well. My husband surprised me with a proposal inside a partially destroyed stone church, built-in 1348, overlooking the sea and the city of Dubrovnik. The proposal and our entire vacation were so beautiful we decided that we had to go back to Croatia to get married the following year.
The Wedding Dress
When shopping for my dress I really wanted something romantic and detailed that would fit well with our Croatian seaside wedding. I probably tried on about 50 dresses before finding the one, a beautiful off the shoulder Martina Liana wedding dress with the perfect amount of sparkle and romantic lace, Style 1012. I didn’t think I would be the type to get emotional over the dress. However, when I looked in the mirror I couldn’t help but picture myself on the wedding day and the tears started to flow.
The Wedding Details
Our wedding theme was romantic yet simple as the stone venue and sea view were naturally stunning. Being back in Croatia where we got engaged the year before made the wedding even more special to us. The entire day was so special, just having all of our friends and family together in the most beautiful place right next to the sea was everything that we wanted!
If I had to choose one special moment it would be walking down the aisle towards the love of my life hand in hand with my Dad seeing all of the people I love smiling back at me.
